Upcoming Charity Poker Runs and Motorcycle Events

6th Annual Chief’s Ride to the Wall
Sunday May 26th. 21471 Great Mills Rd. Lexington Park, Md.
This annual event is intended to honor Memorial Day and all those who served with a motorcycle ride to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.  All riders are welcome to join the Chief Petty Officers as they ride to raise money for the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. There will be a registration fee of $25.00 per rider and includes a complimentary T-shirt. Riders will meet at the Compass Systems office, 21471 Great Mills Rd., Lexington Park, MD, Sunday morning, May 26th 2013, between 6 and 6:30 a.m. and will then proceed to All American Harley Davidson in Hughesville, between 7 and 7:15 a.m., where they will join other riders to make their way to the Pentagon to participate in Rolling Thunder 2013. Coffee and doughnuts will be available for riders before the start of the ride. Donations are being accepted and all proceeds will support activities at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. Registration is requested no later than May 18th, 2013. Forms may be picked up at Compass Systems Inc. 6th Annual Josh Baughan Ride In.
Sunday June 2nd. Rappahannock Church of Christ.
Warsaw, Va.
There will be two identical services at 8:15 a.m.and 10:45 a.m. with live music and identical door prizes. Two bike shows with identical trophies.  Free vest pins and free lunch. No fees however we will be accepting donations for Sebastian Winters who has been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. 100% of all donations will go to Sebastian. The Hawgs for Horses Poker Run

Sunday June 30th, Deale Md. 

Benefits Lilly Pond Foal rescue of Calvert County , MD. The rescue rehabilitates unwanted and neglected equines and Orphan foals produced by the Nurse Mare Industry. There will be 5 stops and an after party at this event with approx 80 miles of riding. Raffle prizes, a wagon of cheer and a cash prize will be offered! Best hand wins the cash! The after party will be at one our farms where you will see our foals and enjoy aAll bikes welcome, no colors please!  DJ, food and party! The start point will be at Calypso Bay in Deale. registration at 8am. $30 a couple and $20 single rider.

Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association

2nd Annual Bull Run III
 Saturday July 27, Mannasas, Va.

  Starting at Whitt's Harley Davidson 9321 Center St. Mannasas, VA Registration will start at 0900 and ride will at depart 1100 ending at the VFW Post 8613 in Shanandoah VA. Donation for the ride is $20 per bike.  Patches and T- Shirts will be available for purchase and there will be food for sale, a raffle, music, and fun at the end of the ride. All monies will go toward the supporting veters and their families on the road to recovery from the effects of PTSD & TBI "The Other Civil War" Ride information can be found and preregistration can be made at www.bullrunIII.org

11th Charlotte Hall Veteran’s Home Poker Run
Saturday August 10th, starting at 11am, Charlotte Hall, Md.
Signup 1100-1215 at the Charlotte Hall, MD Veteran’s Home. Open to all vehicles.  Last vehicle out at 12:30pm, $20 donation per person, Best Hand $500, 2nd Best $250, 3rd Best $ 150, Worst $100. ALL PROCEEDS will be used to purchase items requested by the residents of the Charlotte Hall Veteran’s Home. Sponsored by Southern Maryland Chapter of the US MILITARY VETS M/C.
